Maps

Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife (2023-2025)
Washington Department of Natural Resources (2022)

I’ve contributed to mapping projects by producing clean, accurate regulatory map graphics, including terminal closure updates and fire restriction zones. I prioritize accessibility by using clear color schemes, intuitive legends, and well-organized layouts that improve public understanding.

Interpretive and regulatory signage

Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife (2023-2025)

I design interpretive signage templates for the Lands staff and other programs, adhering to established guidelines to help visitors quickly access essential information upon entering specific areas. These signs combine clear instructions with engaging educational content, providing both direction and context.

To enhance visual impact and message retention, I create custom icons, illustrations, and curated photography, ensuring all elements work together to effectively convey key messages and support consistent agency branding.

In addition to interpretive signage, I also design regulatory signs that clearly communicate rules and procedures, promoting visitor safety, regulatory compliance, and a positive experience across all agency-managed lands.

Ocean ecology infographics

Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife (2024-2025)

I created a series of scientific graphics for the Toxic Contaminants in Biota of Puget Sound (TBiOS) website and the Contaminants of Emerging Concern (CEC) study. These illustrations accurately depict key Puget Sound species—including salmon, English sole, mussels, herring, plankton, and orcas—to support public education and environmental research.

The visuals were designed to communicate complex ecological concepts clearly and accessibly, helping to raise awareness about marine health and the impact of pollutants. These graphics play an important role in supporting ocean conservation efforts through visual storytelling.

Charts

Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife (2023-2024)

I’ve created data visualizations for the agency, including a fish wheel diagram that became a popular visual centerpiece and was even turned into a giveaway magnet for public events. To further enhance my skills, I’ve been self-learning Power BI and Datylon to explore a wider range of chart types and develop more visually engaging and accurate data visualizations.
